Parlant Technology Selects Veracity for Custom Approach to Long-Distance Phone Services.

 

Parlant Technology is a privately-held school-to-home communication company headquartered in Provo, Utah. For more than 20 years, it has been working exclusively with schools and school districts across the United States to link principals, teachers, parents and students together through email messaging, phone notifications, SMS text messaging, printed letters and other communications offerings.

 

The Challenge

In 2009, a partner company introduced Parlant Technology to Veracity’s long-distance phone services. Parlant Technology was drawn to Veracity for their innovative and cost-effective approach to providing long-distance services. Long-distance phone services are vital to Parlant Technology because the company makes imperative phone calls to students and parents on behalf of its nationwide customer base of school officials and school districts.

 

Local Solution

Veracity customized an innovative phone service that was more effective for Parlant Technology’s needs than previous providers. This tailored approach resonated well with Parlant Technology since its own technology offerings are often customized to meet customers’ goals. Veracity’s specific solution delivered a standard TDM that leveraged Voice over IP (“VoIP”) technology through traditional dialing. It allows Parlant Technology to leverage VoIP cost but use a DS3 handoff.

 

World-Class Results

This state-of-the-art approach saves Parlant Technology up to 30 percent per call, per minute over its previous long-distance vendors. Its current build-out process with Veracity averages 38,800 calls per hour during the callout period. In 2010, Veracity assisted Parlant Technology in making more than 70 million calls to students and families during a 30-day period of record snow storms, sometimes placing more than 3 million calls a day.
